Let's Be Friends!

Joining The MakeHer Collective as a member is the easiest way to take full advantage of our community of makers. Membership takes you beyond the public Instagram community and open Meet-ups, and a lifetime membership costs just $50.

COMMUNITY: Membership puts you in a private Facebook Forum where we all ask questions, share resources, and plan outings.

ACCESS: You’ll be able to tap the collective wisdom, sit in the “Hot Seat”, and share your wins and challenges. This includes the community-sourced Master Market List, Product Launch Tips, Market Checklists, and a complete library of our "Collective Coffee" chats about everything from wholesale to taxes!

She's not your competition.
She's your sister.

We love our community! Here's how we keep it cool.

  1. No hateful rhetoric. The group is a place for makers to find encouragement in running a small business. Mean spirited attitudes will not be tolerated. Comments or posts that belittle, tear down, victimize, or make fun of another person will be taken down. Cursing is allowed. Using words that inflict harm on another human is not.

  2. This a safe space. Women makers come from all walks of life and in no way does their religion (or lack thereof), birth gender, Race, Generation, or Country of Origin make them any less valuable as a human, nor their contributions to the community any less important. Attacking, discriminating, belittling an individual for an attribute of their identity will lead to removal of the group member.

  3. No self-promotion. Please do not sell to your fellow group members by sharing sales and promotions from your shop; however, please DO ask their advice on pricing, a new creative directions in your work, testing out new products, adjustments to your booth set-up, and more!

  4. Community over Competition. In The Make(HER) Collective, we fully embrace the idea that each of us is completely unique and that there are enough customers out there for ALL of us to succeed! We are a supportive community, not each other’s competition. Members of this group vow to help each other become the best that they can be by offering kind, authentic feedback. Likewise, members asking for and receiving advice agree to let down their defenses, knowing that their fellow community members only have their best interest at heart.

Inside our private Member Facebook Forum, you will also find an archive of live chats about all things handmade business, downloadable resources, and our master market list!
